
In the event of an effective cancellation, the services received on both side must be returned (and any benefits gained (e.g. interest) must be returned). If you are unable, completely or in part, to return the received service or item, or if you can only return it in a deteriorated state, you must compensate us for the value if applicable.
If items are handed over, this does not apply if the deterioration in the item is solely due to its having been examined, as you would have been able to do in a shop, for example. In addition, you can avoid the obligation to pay compensation for any deterioration caused by use of the item for the intended purpose if you do not use the item as your own property and avoid doing anything which would adversely affect its value. Items which can be sent as a package are to be returned at our expense and risk. Items which cannot be sent as a package will be collected from you. Obligations to reimburse payments must be met within 30 days. This deadline starts for you when your Notice of Cancellation or the item is sent, or for us when these are received.
